Today, we honor and celebrate the incredible mothers who love, nurture, sacrifice, pray, encourage, lead, and carry so much for the people around them.

Whether you are a biological mother, spiritual mother, grandmother, mentor, or simply a woman who pours into others with love and faithfulness, we celebrate YOU today.

We also recognize that Mother’s Day can carry many emotions. For some it is joyful, while for others it may bring grief, longing, or difficult memories. Wherever you find yourself today, our prayer is that you would feel seen, loved, strengthened, and reminded of how valuable you are to God.

Thank you for every quiet prayer, every unseen sacrifice, every act of obedience, and every seed of love you have sown into the lives of others. Your impact reaches further than you know.

MY HEART IS SO FULL…

Today my church surprised me with the most beautiful gesture. I wasn’t even there this morning because I’m home sick and resting, but they still went ahead with what they had planned, and when I saw the video, I just cried.

It is truly the greatest honor to serve the Lighthouse Church Kitchener-Waterloo.

When I was only 19 years old, God put a dream in my heart — a vision to pastor, to build His church, to love people, and to see lives transformed by Jesus. Now at 46, I’m walking in answered prayer, and I don’t take a single moment of it for granted.

Thank you for also honoring Petar and Levi today. Ministry would not be possible without their love, sacrifice, and support. We serve together as a family, and I am so grateful that this church loves them as much as you love me.

This church is not a job to me.
It’s a calling.
It’s a miracle.
It’s a gift from God.

Thank you for loving me, for seeing me, and for allowing me the privilege of being your pastor.

I love you all more than you know. 🤍

I am grateful beyond words today.

It’s been hard.

This past Sunday looked a little different for the Lighthouse. We had church @ home and God met us there!!!

No theatre.
No stage lights.
No big setup.

Worshipping, the Word, praying, sharing coffee, kids’ church in the next room, and the presence of God filling every corner.

And honestly? It felt just like the early church. We were reminded of something so important:

The Church isn’t a building.
It’s not a venue.
It’s not a Sunday production.

It’s people. It’s family. It’s God’s presence.

I am so grateful for every person who squeezed onto a couch in our home, who stood in the kitchen, or sat on the floor to worship together. We had a packed house!!!! What a special morning. ❤️

Due to the inclement weather expected tomorrow, we’ve made the decision to cancel our in-person services at both 9:00am and 10:15am.

We encourage you to stay safe, stay warm, and take good care of yourself and your loved ones.

We look forward to gathering together again next Sunday.

IN HIS PRESENCE…With sickness and work obligations, most of our musicians couldn’t be here this past Sunday. So, the day before, we made the decision to strip everything back — a simple, acoustic set, offered in faith and flexibility.

And wow… God met us.
His presence was real.
Tangible.
Beautiful.

It was a reminder that worship isn’t about a full stage, it’s about EXPERIENCING THE FULLNESS OF HIS PRESENCE as we lift Him up.

I’m so grateful, for those that served on Sunday. For their willingness, their hearts, and their flexibility.

They showed up.
They said yes.
And God used them powerfully.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS!!!

May your home be filled with peace, your hearts with joy, and your lives with the hope that Jesus brings.

Sometimes we ask God for what WE THINK we need, but God sees what we ACTUALLY need.
Jairus came to Jesus asking for healing for his daughter.
But healing wasn’t enough.
What his daughter actually needed was a resurrection.

What looked final to man was just a setup for a miracle, because God will connect what we see in the moment, to what He sees in eternity.

So if you’re believing God for one thing, don’t be surprised if He does something greater.
Because the miracle you’re praying for
might not be the miracle that God is planning.
